A 70's gorefest throwback with carefully-crafted special effects and a gritty visual style, DEAD EYES OPEN stands alone among the new generation of horror. A van full of twenty-somethings take off in a van across the German countryside in search of adventure, but when they run out of gas they find themselves stranded in an unknown wilderness. They have no idea where they are and, worse yet, are unable to defend themselves from the bloodthirsty lunatic who sends them running for shelter in an isolated farmhouse.
